Developments and advancements in new types of silicon, superconducting, and super-semi quantum computing approaches are among the recent work of Dr. Charles Tahan and his research group. During this talk, Dr. Tahan will discuss these recent research developments as well as the launch of the University of Maryland, College Park’s Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS) Qubit Collaboratory, the Qubit Foundry, and the current progress leading the National Quantum Initiative.

This seminar is hosted by the Northwest Quantum Nexus (NQN), a coalition led by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National LaboratoryMicrosoft Quantum, and the University of Washington. Seminars hosted by NQN feature experts on quantum computing and its applications and support NQN’s goal of creating a vibrant industry that will contribute to the economic vitality of the region.
